THE PRODUCTION PROCESS

The key to an effective practice introduction video is to produce a short, concise script that captures the essence of your practice culture. After consultation, our director, Bob Edwards, will write and edit the script for you. We allow for two rewrites within our standard fee for this service. When you are happy with the words, we proceed to the actual design and production stage.

We do not descend on your office with a video camera, nor will you have to record the voice-over or provide a soundtrack.

What we do is use a professional speaker (male or female voice) and create an animated video that amplifies the message set out in your script. As part of this process you will have the opportunity to influence some of the design elements.

PRICING

The investment required depends on the length of your script – we charge £5 per word plus VAT. As a guide, the Swan Partnership video on this page is a 100 word script and lasts for one minute.

50% of the agreed price (based on a fixed word count budget) is payable before we start writing the script, the remaining 50% is payable when the script is agreed and we start producing the video. In both cases fees are non-refundable.

We will call you when we receive your initial enquiry to discuss your application in more detail. If, after this discussion, you would prefer to withdraw you can do so with no cost implication.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Will the video produced be some form of templated presentation?

Every script and video we produce for this service will be unique. There are no templates.

Where is the video hosted? Can we upload to our You Tube channel?

We will host the video for you on our Vimeo platform. We will also provide you with a copy of the MP4 file so you can upload to YouTube. In either case you will be able to display the video on your website

What should we include in the script?

Our director, Bob Edwards, will call you and discuss what it is you want to communicate about your practice. We recommend that you focus on your ability and interest in solving business owners’ and taxpayers’ problems rather than trying to dig into the detail of how you do that. You only have one or two minutes to get your message across (100 or 200 words).

Why use animated characters in the video?

Unless you have significant presentation skills, simply recording a member of your practice eulogising about your practice will be unlikely to hold the attention of website visitors – they need to be entertained and informed.
